About RSQ
The Rhapsodie Saxophone Quartet was formed in 2010 whilst its members were all studying at the Conservatorium of music at the University of Adelaide. The then nameless quartet performed as part of university assessments but soon began performing outside of university life. Since then, the Rhapsodie Saxophone Quartet has performed at numerous weddings and functions, many community events, given workshops and, in 2013, they performed the Australian premiere of Michael Colgrass' Urban Requiem for Saxophone Quartet and Wind Orchestra. In 2014, RSQ performed their debut Adelaide Fringe concert, Sax to the Max, a collaboration with another great Adelaide Saxophone Quartet; Saxism Saxophone Quartet. It was a hugely successful show, selling out and earning 5 star reviews. 2015 will see RSQ taking Fringe season on again with 'The High Life'.
